The elaborate waterways and moving models of the Miniature Marvels area required the installation of many pipes and conduits |
| The control room for the models was housed in a concrete room, which became the base of a mountain range along one edge of the Miniature Marvels area. The concrete "bunker" still exists in the park though the mountains have been removed. |

The winding waterways of Miniature Marvels begin to take shape |
| A wooden framework is in place to begin sculpting of the plaster mountain range. These mountains would serve as a backdrop for the reproductions of some of the world's most famous castles and buildings. |
